Strategic Plan – we need your feedback

We design our strategic plan to be brief, high level and aspirational. It’s the key that unlocks our planning and reporting documents, rather than a detailed blueprint. As such, it’s designed to fit on one A4 page, but it’s also designed so that reading it provides a clear outline of who we are, why we’re here and what we are doing about it.

Please read the draft strategic plan and send us your feedback by 31 July 2021. The link takes you to a brief survey that is designed to make it quick and easy for you to provide feedback. You will also find our draft Strategic Plan and a link to the feedback form in the June issue of STAnews.

Wellbeing and behaviour

We’re also looking for your feedback on the board’s awareness of wellbeing or behaviour management programmes your school is currently working with.  It should take about 2 minutes. The closing date for this survey is 31 July 2021.

National Excellence in Teaching Awards (NEiTA)

NEiTA is a wonderful opportunity to showcase quality teaching and learning – a way of recognising quality leadership. NZSTA has supported NEiTA for a number of years as part of being on the judging panel/s.  We encourage you to take up this amazing opportunity.

Australasia’s longest running teaching awards are encouraging parents, and all school community members to nominate extraordinary educators who have displayed outstanding dedication, passion and creativity in the past year. This year, NEiTA is recognising the critical role early childhood, primary and secondary teachers and principals have played in children’s lives throughout the COVID-19 crisis. Nominations can be made until 18 August 2021 via www.neita.com.
