‘Education matters to me - Key Insights’
Listen to the voices of children and young people
The Waikato Executive invites you to join us at our free mini conference – Education Matters to Me – Key Insights’.
The theme celebrates the work undertaken by NZSTA, in partnership with the Children’s Commissioner, which listened to the voices of young people talking about their experience of education. And what powerful young voices they have!
This event will really get you thinking - do the statements in the book reflect what students are saying about your school? Are they similar to what you might have said when you were at school?
Other issues for discussion will include Leadership begins at the Board - setting the direction for change and monitoring and Kaahui Ako in the Waikato – stewardship groups.
When: 21 & 22 November
Where: University of Waikato, Hamilton Campus
What: An incredible line up of presenters, delivering thought-provoking research and insights.
Lorraine Kerr (MNZM) – As President of NZSTA, and with more than 3 decades’ experience as a school trustee, Lorraine is a tireless advocate for education.
