Our team is responsible for:

  • Regional employment and governance support and advice to boards of trustees and the Ministry of Education

  • National professional development
  • Managing Stakeholder relationships being the primary link to agencies
  • Board of trustee representative at collective bargaining
  • Administration of the Emergency Staffing Scheme (ESS)

Business services

We support the whole of NZSTA with administration and advice to enable NZSTA to reach its organisational goals

Business performance and engagement

We provide the communication advice tools and resources to promote NZSTA’s services. We engage with the trustees and stakeholders on elections, sponsorship, reporting and maintain key stakeholder relationships.

ICT

We provide the cutting edge tools and technology that enables us to successfully deliver on our goals.

Our team is responsible for:

  • Internal ICT support in conjunction with Code Blue
  • Strategic ICT roadmap
  • Salesforce development and changes
  • Procurement of ICT equipment
  • LMS system administration
  • All business technology projects

Finance

We provide the accounting/payroll function that enables NZSTA to operate as a service NFP organisation.

Our team is responsible for:

  • Oversee annual budgets and audit
  • Payments to creditors
  • Invoice for good and services to debtors
  • Manage payroll
  • Manage copyright
  • Monthly management reports
  • IRD returns
  • Interface with the board’s A&R committee
  • Annual charity return/other govt returns
  • Work closely with event mergers on annual conference
  • Work with managers to identify, scope and cost new business opportunities

Product development

We develop, test and consider the viability of products which are new to the market in order to ensure the growth and value of NZSTA.

Our team is responsible for:

  • Investigating design and assess products from initial concept to finalisation
  • Looking after existing products
  • Auditing existing products to ensure they are ‘fit for purpose’
  • Offering choices on other solutions to enhance or add value to our existing products
  • Refresh of learning modules
  • Video case studies of 6 schools
  • Audio Podcast platform coping
  • LMS Phase 2
  • New digital Scenario Cards
